What more could you ask for?
When my friend Mary Jane at the Pike Place Goorin Bros. Hat Shop told me she was planning to serve up some of her secret stash of Marteau at their upcoming Grand Opening Celebration, how could I resist? I love absinthe, jazz, food, and I wear hats (as should everyone when they’re in a public place).
So, that’s where I’ll be this coming Thursday, Sept. 8th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, hanging out, drinking Marteau and absinthe cocktails, listening to live jazz by the Alika Lyman Group, and munching on savories provided by Lucid Jazz Lounge.
You should come out.

Last night’s party was a blast. Thanks to everyone who came out!
A highlight of the evening for me was being outside on the sidewalk and hearing the band start playing
Quiet Village (the national anthem of Exotica music). I later found out that it was no coincidence that the Alika Lyman Group should share the name of one of the great Exotica luminaries, Arthur Lyman. It turns out that Alika is Arthur Lyman’s great nephew.
